A young girl recently told her Mum something that stopped me in my tracks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She said, \u201cI saw God in the clouds today.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You know, He was sneaking out in those little rays of light.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

No big speech, no theology, just a moment of wonder.<\/span><\/p>\n

My child\u2019s eyes caught something the rest of us\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

often miss: light spilling through a cloudy sky, and in it, the quiet presence of God.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s easy to think of God in grand gestures like burning bushes,<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0parted seas, and voices from heaven,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

but Nano Nagle taught us to seek God in the ordinary,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

the hidden, the everyday.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That quiet presence, the hand on a shoulder,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

a thoughtful text message, a warm smile from a stranger,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

a cuppa shared without hurry.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maybe God sneaks out in more ways than we realize,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

not to hide, but to surprise and gently awaken.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0St. John of the Cross reminds us, \u201cGod walks into your soul with silent steps.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201dLet\u2019s be people who look for light breaking through the clouds,\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

classrooms, and conversations,\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

and may we learn to trust that God is always near,\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

with the knowledge that His \u201clight shines in the darkness,\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

and the darkness has not overcome it\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
