On Monday, 26 May 2025, our talented Year 9 Textiles students were given an exciting opportunity to explore the world of fashion design with a specialised workshop hosted by the Fashion Design Studio at TAFE NSW.<\/span><\/p>\n

Led by industry professionals, the workshop focused on developing students\u2019 illustration skills while introducing them to a variety of design development techniques used in the fashion world. From learning how to draw stylised fashion figures to rendering fabric textures such as plaids, satin and lace, students experimented with a range of media and illustration styles.<\/span><\/p>\n

This hands-on session not only enhanced their technical skills but also sparked inspiration as they worked through the creative process of translating ideas into fashion illustrations.<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re incredibly proud of the students’ efforts and grateful to the Fashion Design Studio for providing such a rich and authentic learning experience. We look forward to the students using their new skills as part of the next unit of work – <\/span>Contemporary Designer<\/span><\/i>, where students will be designing and making 2 piece pyjama set.<\/span><\/p>\n
