Students learn advocacy, debating and problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n<p>It is with pride that we report that Domremy ranked 15th out of 144 schools in the Mock Trial competition.<\/p>\n<p>Last Thursday 26 July, our team competed against International Grammar School in the elimination round of the competition. Domremy was narrowly defeated 296 to 287.<\/p>\n<p>Grace (Y11) was the first Barrister for the Prosecution, Zara (Y10) was our witness, Caterina (Y11) was the Prosecuting solicitor and Elodie (Y10) was the Magistrate&#8217;s Clerk. We had two amazing students step in at the last minute to replace students who had other College commitments. These students included Aoife (Y11) who was an absolutely brilliant Barrister for us and Mila (Y11) who was an incredibly impressive witness.<\/p>\n<p>Although they did not win the round, each member of the team was so impressive in their presentation of their case.
