Year 12 D&T – Shape Exhibition of HSC works – Powerhouse Museum

On Tuesday 14 March, the Year 12 Design and Technology class had the opportunity to attend the Powerhouse Museum to see the Shape Exhibition of HSC works. This was an amazing opportunity for our students, as it allowed them to see examples of Band 6 Design Projects.

The students started off the day by attending a seminar hosted by a Design and Technology Senior HSC marker. The seminar provided the students with insights into what occurs during the marking process, what the markers are looking for within the design project and portfolio and general tips towards success.

The students then viewed the Shape Exhibition which was a big highlight of their excursion. They were able to view a range of different types of HSC works, such as industrial, environmental, digital, and material projects. During our time in the Exhibition, we also had valuable one-on-one time with the Senior HSC Marker and she gave the girls feedback on their own design projects.

The experience was invaluable in ensuring the student’s future success and encouraging them along their HSC journey within Design and Technology.
