Sunsprint Challenge

Sunsprint Challenge

The UNSW Sunsprint solar car challenge was held on Saturday 25 October 2025.

Our dedicated team of Sunsprint students developed their cars during Term 2 on Thursday afternoon after ASP. This extra-curricular activity allowed the students to develop teamwork and problem-solving skills in a fun and exciting environment.

This year, Domremy College entered two cars. The girls tried new ideas such as two motors and two solar panels per car, always within the rules of the competition set by the UNSW.

Again, the clouds arrived on the day of the competition and this negatively affected our cars. The girls took it all in their stride and fun was had by all.

I thank the girls for their persistence and skills in constructing the solar cars. Hopefully next year we will have a sunny day.

Thank you to Alice, Shennah, Bronte and Rosanne for participating in the event.
