Sunsprint 2024
The UNSW Sunsprint solar car challenge was held on Saturday 19 October at the UNSW Kensignton campus.
The girls involved in this challenge stayed after school on Thursday afternoons to prepare their car with a solar panel and electric motor. The girls could choose from numerous wheel sizes, gear ratios and placement of components. Lots of testing was held at school over our 20m long track.
The clouds came out on the day of the competition, which diminished the quality of the racing and none of our teams made it to the second round. Nevertheless, we will participate again next year and aim for success.
Thank you to all the parents that took time out on the Saturday morning to come along and support their daughter.
Thank you to the following girls for participating in the event: Gabrielle, Alice, Sanjana, Alina, Zoe H, Shennah, Shikarna, Natalie, Madeleine, Siera, Alexis, Zoe W, Rosanne.
