SCS Notices: Changes to access to social media for all students

The government has recently ratified the Online Safety Amendment (Social Media Minimum Age) Bill 2024, which will amend the Online Safety Act 2021. This new legislation is expected to come into force in December 2025. Sydney Catholic Schools is committed to child safety and effective learning and accordingly will be implementing a number of measures immediately, to restrict access by students  to unauthorised educational applications and by blocking social media access on the school network.
