Kokoda Track Memorial Walkway ANZAC Day Commemoration Service
In the lead up to one of the most important days in Australia, I accompanied a group of Domremy students to the Kokoda Track Memorial Walkway ANZAC Day Commemoration Service on Tuesday 22 April. The Hon. David Harris MP, and NSW Minister for Veterans began the ceremony by reflecting on the importance of ANZAC Day as an opportunity to “๐๐๐๐๐๐ท๐๐ ๐๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ถ๐๐พ๐ถ๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ถ๐๐น ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฝ๐ ๐น๐พ๐๐น ๐๐ ๐๐๐ป๐ป๐๐๐๐น ๐พ๐ ๐๐ฝ๐ ๐พ๐๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐๐ถ๐ท๐๐ ๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐น๐ ๐๐ป ๐๐ถ๐. ๐ช๐ ๐๐ฝ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐พ๐๐ ๐๐ป ๐๐

It was a heartfelt ceremony attended by three WWII veterans aged 99, 100 and 101. Our young women respectfully participated in the laying of the Wreath Ceremony and in the various prayers and responses. In the ANZAC address given by the wife of an Australian soldier who served in Afghanistan and was severely injured, she reflected on the importance of the ANZAC spirit for not only her husband and soldiers today, but all Australians now and in the future.
