Knitting Club is back – calling for new or unused and clean wool

As we start to feel the chill this winter, our thoughts turn to those who are in poor health or who are not able to enjoy a warm environment, including some of our furry friends.

Our Knitting Club is back with planned projects to knit and deliver beanies and fingerless gloves for the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and for those sleeping rough, and blankets for pet shelters.

Come along to the Knitting Club, Wednesday and Fridays at lunchtime in the Makerspace. Make new friends, learn a new skill all while knowing that this small contribution of your time WILL make a meaningful and positive impact on someone’s life.

We always welcome any donations of new and unused clean wool, preferably 8ply or thicker, which will be put to good use. Donations can be left at the Student Office.
