Isabella makes Australian Dragon Boating Team

For those who have been following our reports on Isabella Taranto’s (Y 12) achievements in Dragon Boating over the last few years, we are delighted to share some exciting updates about her dragon boating journey.

We are thrilled to announce that Isabella has been selected in the Australian team, and, in July, will be heading to the 17th IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships in Brandenburg an der Havel (Germany), to compete in the U-18 division against 14 countries of the total 34 countries competing. 

What a huge achievement for Isabella, who has pursued her sport with dedication for years.

This latest announcement comes on top of her competing at the 14th Club Crew World Championships in Ravenna, Italy, last year, where she proudly won three bronze medals. More recently, over the April school holidays, Isabella raced in the Australian Championships, taking 2 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals. As if all that weren’t enough, Isabella also secured 2 gold medals at the State vs State Championships and a gold and a bronze medal at the NSW Championships.
