Inspire Inclusion #InspireInclusion – IWD 2024

International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated annually on March 8. The designated theme for 2024 Inspire Inclusion with the hashtag #InspireInclusion.

We celebrated a great International Women’s Day at Domremy and were honoured to welcome our guest speaker, Cricket NSW superstar and All-rounder, Ms Hannah Darlington, at our #IWD2024 whole school assembly. Our Humanities Prefect, Aoife Foley’s introduction, “Today … is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality,” fits perfectly alongside the theme for this year, “Inspire Inclusion.” Hannah is testament to this year’s theme. At 22 she has already played cricket at state and national levels, became the youngest captain in the history of the Women’s Big Bash, made her ODI Debut in September 2021 and T20I Debut in October 2021. She has championed and inspired young girls to get involved in Cricket.
