Year 12 Farewell Blessing

May God’s blessing follow you all as you find new journeys to travel.

May you walk safely along the pathways of your dreams.

May His gentle hand guide the decisions you will make and the passions that you follow.

May your hearts and lives always reflect His love and truth,

And may hope be a light within you that you carry into each new day.

Amen.

Venerable Nano Nagle, pray for us.

2018 Yr 12 Graduation | Korowal School

Dear Parents, Carers, Students and Staff

It is always a joy to celebrate the journey of our Year 12 students alongside their families and loved ones. These Graduation events beautifully reflect the strong partnership we are fortunate to have with our families here at Domremy. This connection shines even brighter during such significant milestones, where we honour not only the achievements of our students but also the dedication and love that have carried them through.

For the staff of Domremy, these celebrations hold a special significance. While we applaud the remarkable accomplishments of our Year 12 students, it is also a moment of mixed emotions as we bid farewell to the young women we’ve had the privilege to nurture and guide over the years. This Year 12 cohort, in particular, has left a deep and lasting impression. Their leadership, thought-provoking ideas, and generous spirits have shaped the College, and their influence will be felt for years to come.

To the parents and carers of our Year 12 students, we offer our deepest gratitude. You have journeyed alongside your daughters, supporting them through every challenge and triumph with unwavering love. Your partnership has been an essential part of helping your daughters grow into the extraordinary young women we celebrate this week. We look forward to hearing of their continued successes, knowing they are well-prepared to embrace the future.

As they take their next steps, we encourage our Year 12 students to continue striving for greatness and excellence, guided by the same core values that have shaped their time at Domremy – faith, hope, and love. These divine gifts, deeply rooted in our Presentation charism, offer a foundation for navigating life’s challenges. Like Nano Nagle, who lived with conviction, hope, and love for the betterment of others, we hope our students will continue to make the most of these gifts in their own lives.

The Graduation Mass, which reflected the same sense of unity as their first opening mass in 2019, marked the end of their journey here at Domremy. Just as explorers reflect on the meaning of their adventures, each of our Year 12 students will carry the experiences they’ve gathered along the way, shaping their futures in unique and profound ways.

As they leave Domremy, we ask our Year 12 students, and indeed all of our girls, to carry with them the lessons of faith, hope, and love into the next chapter of their lives. These values will continue to guide them, just as they have been shown through the example of our dedicated staff.

As we say farewell to Year 12, we hold them in our thoughts and prayers as they prepare for their HSC examinations next term. We wish them strength, resilience, and confidence, knowing they have all the tools to succeed.

I wish everyone a restful and joyful term break, and I look forward to seeing you all in Term 4. School resumes for students on Tuesday, 15 October 2024.

Blessings to you and your families,

Mrs. Antoinette McGahan
