CSDA Public Speaking Competition
On Friday, 27 February, 12 students from Years 7 to 11 represented Domremy in the Catholic Schools Debating Association (CSDA) Public Speaking Competition.
Year 7 Delilah Fletcher and Mia Bosheska
Year 8 Ava Ngo and Ira Dixit
Year 9 Zoe Harrison and Abia Gultom
Year 10 Anastasia Aksyonova and Arabella Chan
Senior Lara Moussa, Allanah Roche, Natalie Rusli and Charlotte Mansfield
The calibre of speakers was extremely high and the competition fierce. All speakers should be proud of having been selected to represent their year groups, especially those who spoke in grades above their own.
Congratulations in particular to Ava Ngo in Year 8 for advancing to the preliminary finals of the Competition! This accomplishment reflects Ava’s dedication, hard work and outstanding communication skills. Participating in such a prestigious event is no small feat, and reaching the preliminary finals showcases Ava’s confidence and ability to engage an audience.
We are incredibly proud of this achievement and look forward to supporting Ava as she continues to shine in the competition. We wish Ava the very best of luck when she competes on Friday. We are confident that she will represent herself and Domremy with excellence.
Good luck, Ava!
