Class of 2025: Graduation Mass 24.9.25
Graduation Mass and Farewell Assembly photo video
On Wednesday morning, we held a beautiful celebration of the Eucharist for our Graduating Year 12, 2025 students, families and Domremy community. We acknowledged their significant contribution to our College and we prayed that they may continue to be confident, courageous, loving and generous Domremy women who embrace learning and carry Christ’s light forward.
The Gospel for our Graduation came from Matthew’s Gospel “You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.”
Fr. Lam Vu built on this theme when reflected on the Gospel passage in his Homily, “Jesus wants you to shine your light – not just to this College – but to an unsuspecting world! And your own world of friends and family has stopped and dropped everything to ‘watch you shine’. To shine, like the lamp of the Gospel. A ‘lamp’ that is meant to be placed on a lampstand, so that it will shine for the whole household”
As our Year 12’s leave our community we look forward to how they will bring their talents to the world to shine the hearts and minds of our world. How they will shine a light on the injustices and darkness in our world.
Thank you to Fr. Lam Vu for celebrating our beautiful Year 12 Graduation mass. Thank you to the Student Leadership Team, students, parents and staff that assisted throughout the mass.. A huge thank you to the Music team and choir for their beautiful singing, conduction and performing, as well as overseeing the sound.
A heartfelt farewell and prayer to our Year 12 students
Year 12, as you leave Domremy College,
may you carry with you the lantern of Nano Nagle –
a light of courage, truth, and compassion.
May you shine brightly in the world,
bringing hope where there is darkness,
kindness where there is loneliness,
and justice where there is need.
May the friendships you have made,
the lessons you have learnt,
and the values you have lived here at Domremy
guide you with strength and purpose.
Year 12, may your lives be filled with faith, joy, and possibility.
May you always walk with confidence in God’s love,
and, like Nano, dare to make a difference.
Go now with peace in your hearts,
light in your hands,
and a future full of promise.
Let your light shine, always
La Verite
Venerable Nano Nagle, Pray for us.
