Catechist Training

Catechist Training

The Catechist Training program, held on Monday 26 February, was a great experience that allowed volunteer Year 10 students to learn about the importance of sharing their knowledge with younger students and engaging with them to share the Teachings of Jesus and the Word of God. This two-hour training session, provided by a team of women who work with the Archdiocese of Sydney, clearly explained how the weekly sessions operate, and important information for students regarding their duty of care for the students of Five Dock Public School.

There are many aspects involved and the privilege of this service of evangelisation carries much responsibility.  It is a great opportunity for not only the younger students to learn, but also for our Domremy students to grow in their faith and share it in a way that will help expand the Catholic community.

We are grateful for the guidance of the women from All Hallows’ Catholic Church Five Dock who shared their experiences with us and will work with us throughout the year.
