Domremy To Remain A Girls Only Secondary College
I am delighted to announce to our College and wider community, that in light of the announcement of the formation of St Vincent’s College Ashfield (K-12 Coeducational), Sydney Catholic Schools has resolved that Domremy College is to remain a girls only secondary school. The assurance of the future direction of the College as single sex school shall put an end to the recent speculation that the College would become a co-educational school. We will continue to work towards providing an exceptional educational environment in which your daughters can thrive and flourish.
Selecting a school for your daughter’s secondary education is one of the most important decisions that you, as a parent, will ever make. We appreciate that you want to be certain that the school you choose will provide your daughter with exceptional educational experiences. Additionally, you want assurance that she will be supported and nurtured in a safe and caring environment.
Domremy College, as a girls only school, has been successfully providing a quality Catholic, holistic and comprehensive education for over 100 years, where young women are challenged and supported to develop their gifts through a diverse range of academic, social and spiritual experiences.
As a Presentation school, we encourage our students to follow the example set by Nano Nagle to carry forward Christ’s light. We are deeply committed to developing in our students a strength of character and independence that will enable them to embrace their future with confidence, determination, hope and compassion.
If you have a daughter or have a relative or family friend in Year 4 considering Domremy for their daughter’s education, please note:
- An application for enrolment for Year 7 2025 should be lodged now;
- There is limited availability for Year 7 2024, applications are still welcome; and
- We have a waitlist for Year 7 2023.
I invite you, your family and friends to come to our College Open Day next year, on Sunday 5 March 2023, and/or to book for one of our College Tours held throughout the year which are hosted by our students.
