Years 7 – 9 Evangelisation Day – Sydney Catholic Schools

On Wednesday 12th August, 13 Domremy girls from Years 7 to 9 participated in the annual Sydney Catholic Schools Evangelisation Day. This year it was held at Mount Saint Joseph, Milperra, with over 20 Sydney Catholic Schools participating.

It was such an uplifting, faith-filled day for us all. Here are some of the highlights from some of the girls:

“Today was a very enlightening experience which helped us grow in our faith. The speakers were motivational and passionate about unpacking and defining Christianity. We had many opportunities to encounter God through prayer, adoration, reconciliation and praise through singing. Overall, we are very grateful for this experience as it was highly enjoyed.” – Maeve and Isla – Year 7

“What I loved about today was the atmosphere and all the new information about Saint Carlo Acutis that I didn’t know about. I loved seeing people I knew and making new friends from other schools. This day was full of memories and a day to remember.” – Vivianne – Year 8

“Today was a wonderful experience where we had the opportunity to deepen our relationship with Christ, through experiences such as adoration, singing, trivia, prayer, reconciliation, and a Question and Answer section where students could ask questions to a panel of religious people. The speakers provided great advice on how to deepen our faith and how to be better Christians. From information about Saint Carlo Acutis, our first millennial Saint, to information about youth groups and World Youth Day 2027. One thing that was interesting was what they said to us; that we can ALL become Saints! Overall, it was an enriching experience, which we were so grateful to attend.” – Alessia and Mila – Year 9
