Welcome Year 9 

A warm welcome to all our Year 9 students and families as we begin the 2026 school year. Year 9 is an important and exciting stage of secondary schooling, marked by increased independence, new responsibilities and opportunities for personal growth.

Our Year 9 theme for 2026 is “Own Your Journey.” This theme encourages students to take ownership of their learning, behaviour and wellbeing, while also understanding the importance of accountability and asking for support when needed. With the introduction of elective subjects, students are given greater choice in their learning, and we encourage them to remain committed, engaged and responsible for the decisions they make.

We strongly encourage families to have ongoing conversations with their daughters about this theme: what it means to them, how they are tracking, and how we can work together to best support their educational journey. Strong partnerships between home and school play a vital role in student success.

We look forward to working closely with our Year 9 students and families and supporting them to make 2026 a positive, successful and rewarding year.
