Student Leadership into 2026 – Investiture Ceremony
It was wonderful to be able to acknowledge and thank the Year 12 Leadership Team of 2025 and officially name and welcome the 2026 Domremy College Student Leaders. We gathered for the official installation of our Year 12 2026 cohort, as they embark on their final year at Domremy College. These inspirational women were reminded of their responsibility and roles as the Seniors and their call to lead, preserve, nurture and reimagine the Presentation Charism. The badges they received during this ceremony are an outward sign of their call to serve.
We listened to John’s Gospel where Jesus washes the disciples’ feet and the leaders were challenged to use their individual gifts and talents to serve the Domremy community. The Gospel passage of John reminds us of the profound quality of leadership embodied by Jesus Christ. The account of Jesus washing his disciples’ feet paints such a beautiful and humbling picture. Imagine for a moment placing yourselves in the shoes of the disciples – witnessing an act of humility, service, and unconditional love. This image is a powerful reminder that Jesus did not come to be served but to serve, and to give His life for us.
Our 2026 leaders were encouraged by Mrs McGahan to “take up the mantle of Christian leadership, following the example of Christ, and serving with love, humility, strength and truth – La Verite. May we all continue to be inspired by His example as we walk together on this journey”.
As Presentation People,
privileged to be a part of the Domremy Community,
may we continue to bring the light and love
that in turn enriches our school
and other communities around the world.
Guide each of us gathered today as we learn and follow your way.
Inspire those called to the
“challenge of leadership” to rise to the demands
as they are presented,
knowing God will provide the light for us in darkness.
May the leaders gathered here strive to continue Christ’s mission,
Seeking out, and Serving
Uncovering, and being a shining light,
Building on And celebrating God’s Presence.
Amen.
