Student Success at the 2024 TEA TAP Textiles Challenge!
We are thrilled to announce that two of our talented Year 9 students have been recognised in the prestigious 2024 TEA TAP Challenge, (Technology Educators Association’s Textile Art Piece Challenge), a state-wide competition celebrating creativity and innovation in textiles.
Ruby was awarded First Place in Stage 4 for her stunning cushion titled ‘Winter Wonderland’. Her design impressed the judges with its originality, craftsmanship, and thoughtful interpretation of the design brief. The cushion combined intricate textile techniques with a beautiful winter-themed aesthetic, showcasing Ruby’s outstanding design thinking and technical ability.
In addition, Natalie received a Highly Commended Award for her exceptional entry, ‘Blossoms in the Breeze’, which demonstrated a deep understanding of textile art and creative expression.
Congratulations to Ruby and Natalie for their well-deserved recognition, and thank you to Ms Coffey for supporting and guiding our students through the challenge.
We can’t wait to see what they create next!
