Year 9 Design and Technology have been laser-focused this term

Students have learnt about Laser cutting as a unique new technology that has the potential to change how we approach materials, the environment and the end-user.

Students learnt how laser cutters work and how to effectively use this new technology.

The design project for this unit required students to design, produce and evaluate a laser-cut jewellery stand that had to fit the theme of ‘Geometric Elegance.’
