Year 10 – Human Rights Conference at ACU

“A group of Year 10 students attended the Human Rights Conference held at ACU last Friday, joining other schools to learn more about global human rights issues and Australia’s current human rights laws. Australia’s Human Rights Commissioner, Lorraine Finlay, and a human rights lawyer, addressed the students present, who were encouraged to ask questions. Students then participated in a game designed to teach them how human rights apply in various ethical situations. A highly enjoyable and thought-provoking day.” (Niamh, Year 10).
