Junior Water Polo takes Silver at NSWCCC!

Last Tuesday, 29 October, our Junior Water Polo team participated in the NSWCCC Water Polo Championship at Sydney Olympic Park.

The team played six round games starting the day strong, winning five of our games and drawing one. We made it to the grand final where we matched up with Monte Saint Angelo Mercy College. We weren’t strangers to the fierce competition against that team, having beaten them before and so we went into the game with high hopes. We had a great first half, up 6-3 at the end of the second quarter. Unfortunately the combination of hard games, chlorine and the long day got the better of us in the second half, losing to Monte by just two goals.

We learnt a lot about the game and this level of competition and had a very fun day. (Evelyn, Y9).
