Year 7 Italian “Premio in Classe 2024” Italian film competition 

To celebrate the Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel Mondo, (Week of the Italian Language in the World), from 14 – 20 October 2024, Co.As.It. and Il Globo TV announced an Australian short film competition for Secondary students.

Congratulations to our Year 7E and 7R classes on their video submissions to Premio in Classe 2024, Italian Short Film Festival. The competition is a national Italian language competition that seeks to promote the Italian language and culture to school students. Year 7 Italian students used their Italian language skills and cultural knowledge to creatively address the theme of this year’s competition: “L’italiano e il libro: il mondo fra le righe  –  Italian language and literature: the world within”. 

Year 7R students created a video about Carnevale, whilst year 7E students submitted a video voice over based on the text, “La casa sull’ albero” by Bianca Pitzorno (“The House in the tree”).

We thank our Co.As.It assistant teacher, Lucia Boldrin, for her assistance in developing the students’ Italian and introducing these rich texts to our Domremy students. More information about the competition can be found here.
