Wagga Wagga Presentation Sisters’ Sesquicentenary

This year, our Presentation Sisters, Wagga Wagga, celebrate their Sesquicentenary.

It was in May 1874 that the Presentation Sisters established themselves in the Riverina, in Wagga Wagga, when five Sisters arrived from Kildare, Ireland, to teach in schools being established by the Catholic Church, in an effort to make education accessible to the poor. You can read a more detailed Presentation History on our website.

This is a time of great joy and celebration and we will be honouring 150 years of faith and devotion and generosity of spirit, which continues to this day at Domremy, on Wednesday 12 June at the College, with representatives from all the Sydney Presentation Charism schools. The planning has begun!

We continue to give thanks to our Presentation Sisters and keep them in our prayers.
