Harmony Day – 21 March – #Everyonebelongs
Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
At Domremy this year we participated by wearing something orange. Orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and encouragement of mutual respect.
At lunch, students and staff could enjoy a picnic on the oval with some music playing, and they shared a food platter from their cultures.
Girls were asked to take the challenge to say hello and goodbye to their friends, family and teachers, in a different language.
