Katia performs in ‘Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat at the Capitol’!

Congratulations to Katia Englezos, Year 7, who is performing in the wonderful Andrew Lloyd Webber (music)/Tim Rice (lyrics) musical of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, which opened earlier this month at the Capitol Theatre.

Katia plays the role “Benjamin’s wife” and is also heavily involved as part of the dancing and singing ensemble and is on stage throughout the musical, even being required to continue singing throughout the many costumes changes backstage!

Katia started singing, dancing and acting at an early age. She has appeared in commercials prior to her debut in this musical and got the call in November last year for this production, selected from 150 applicants for the part. She threw herself into rehearsals during the summer school holidays. Katia is loving the theatre and has her sights on auditioning for future musical and theatre productions. For now she is loving performing in this production and is giving it her best.

Well done Katia and … “Chookas!” from all at Domremy for the performance season ahead!

The musical is running until April this year at the Capitol Theatre, Sydney. https://josephthemusical.com.au/cast/
