Widgets are customizable modules that can be inserted in various pre-defined places.<\/p>\n<h2>Common types of widget<\/h2>\n<p>The main widget types you will likely see are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Visual Editor<\/strong>, a simple text widget often used for contact info or promotional text.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><strong>Search<\/strong>, a search field for your readers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Navigation Menu<\/strong>, displays a list of links. Depending on your theme these widget areas can have different names and appear in different places.<\/p>\n<p>Open the <strong>Footer<\/strong> tab.
