This morning, we were treated to Isabella Nasser, as our special guest speaker at the International Women’s Day Breakfast. Isabella is currently Captain of the Women’s Australian 7s team for Rugby and has played in 14 tournaments representing Australia, including the Paris Olympics in 2024.

In yesterday’s Assembly, we heard from Mr DeBrincat, who is now working in the Foundation, about our oldest living Old Cranbrookian, Mr Frank Tebbutt, who turns 100 in August. Mr DeBrincat visit Frank and relayed some wonderful stories to the School about his time here, more than 81 years ago.

Last Friday 14 February, we saw Cranbrook Basketball host St Aloysius. The evening commenced with the 10ths team playing Scots followed by the 2nds and 1sts playing St Aloysius.

We commenced Week 2 with Year 7 concluding their orientation programme. I do hope this has assisted our new Year 7 students to settle into the requirements of Senior School life.

Our Year 10 CITF program continues down in the Cooleman Range, Kosciuszko National Park. The news from Mr Lilley is that our Year 10s have risen to the challenge superbly and we look forward to their return on Friday afternoon.

A special thanks to our Year 10 volunteers for acting as guides in our final Open Day of the year. These students volunteered for this duty rather than being selected and the feedback from prospective families was incredibly impressive.
