Message from the Health Centre
NSW Public Health has issued an alert to advise of an outbreak of gastroenteritis from Rotavirus and Norovirus throughout the state over the past few weeks. Symptoms of gastro include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, headaches and fever. The washing of hands with soap before eating and after going to the toilet is an effective preventative measure as well as not sharing water bottles or utensils/food at school. NSW Health also ask parents to keep their student at home until 48 hours after the last symptom has passed. If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to email the nurses at HealthCentre@Cranbrook.nsw.edu.au.
