F1 in Schools National Final
Dear Parents and Carers,
Team Australis (consisting of William Colquhoun, Diego Lerma, Lachlan Anderson, Alex Hong and Jackson Parker) recently competed in Adelaide at the National F1 in Schools Competition (held at St Peter’s College.) The team did incredibly well considering it was the first time Cranbrook has competed at the national level. Students were assessed and competed in a range of activities;
- Design and Manufacture of C02 Car i.e. Scrutineering
- Engineering – Computer Aided Design Portfolio
- Engineering Manufacturing – Team Interview
- Team Poster / Branding and Marketing
- Enterprise Portfolio
- Trade Display with Verbal Presentation
- Grand Prix Race and Reaction Time Racing
- Knockout Racing
The team finished 20th from 26 teams consisting of teams from both Australia and New Zealand. If you see the students around, please congratulate them on their efforts.
