Cranbrook Swimming Success

Cranbrook has received some outstanding results at IPSHA; Ollie McG excelled in the pool for the 2025 rendition of the CIS Primary Swimming Championships on Wednesday 26 March 2025. First up on the events list was 50m Freestyle with Ollie storming down the pool to claim GOLD in the 12-13yrs 50m Freestyle. He then followed this up with 3rd in the 50m Breaststroke, 5th in the 50 Backstroke and 2nd in the 50 Fly before again bravely taking out first lap of the 100m Freestyle to finish with the Bronze! Ollie’s amazing results see him book his ticket to PSSA Swimming Championship on the 10-11th April where he will be sure to shine again!! Ollie also took out NSWCIS Swimmer of the meet for the 2nd year in a row!

Exceptional swimming was also on display in the past week with 5 Cranbrook swimmers representing CASC at the NSW Junior State Age Championships. Outstanding swims from Ollie McG led to medals in the 100m Butterfly and 200m Freestyle, while Luca S rounded out the Top 10 in the 50m Breaststroke. Notable swims from Mason P who swam personal bests in 50m Butterfly and Breaststroke and contributions from Joshua L and Thomas C in the Boys 9-10 relays lead them to 6th in 4x50m Medley and 10th in the 4x50m Freestyle. All up, the CASC team came 11th in the point score up a mighty 27 places from 2024 and 54 places higher than in 2023. The exceptionally hard work from all of our Cranbrook Junior School swimmers has seen the Junior programs grow from strength to strength and the results are now on show for all to see.
