NSW Surf Life Saving State Championships
We had a number of our Junior School boys participating in the NSW Surfing Life Saving (Nippers) State Championships last week, with some wonderful performances, despite some challenging surf conditions on one of the days. Congratulations to all the boys who represented their Clubs and School so well!
Special mentions include: James Moorhead (Y4) who impressively won a gold in the U9 Swim Team Event and a bronze medal in the U9 board relay (below middle); Xavier Mancuso (Y5) who came an impressive 3rd in the Flag Competition (below left), Joseph Landman and Gus Davies (below right) who received a bronze medal in the U11 Board Relay Event. With 190 starters, Joseph and Gus both finished in the top 16 with Joseph gaining a very impressive 4th in the state for the individual board event. Gus was also in the board rescue event with a swimming mate, achieving a very creditable 4th place in the final.
Hearty congratulations to Charlie Roberts (below left) who won a gold in the All Age Relay, Patrick Gisz (below middle) who achieved a 5th in the U11 Sprint, a 4th in the U11 Relay and a gold medal in the U11 Cameron Relay, and Santiago Dalton (below right) who won gold in the U10 Beach Sprint Relay and placed 7th in the U10 Beach Sprint Individual, after 7 rounds to make the final!
Well done to all the boys who attended!
