Message from Michele Marquet

Dear P-Y6 Parents,

Earlier this week, we welcomed two IB visitors to the Junior School for two days, as part of our five-year Evaluation process. These visits, preceded by a self-study, help the staff to set educational goals for the next few years. It was a valuable experience and an opportunity to celebrate our achievements during the last five years, as well as consider what elements we want to work on in the years ahead. Enormous thanks to Mrs Genet Erickson-Adam for leading this process for the P-6 staff.

Enthused by the success of our SS team at Tuesday’s competition, today, our Year 5 and Year 6 da Vinci teams travelled to Knox to participate in the state Primary School da Vinci Day. Having recently engaged in some intensive training and preparation with our staff, they were eager to test their mettle against other students from across a large number of schools. Our teams had the opportunity to demonstrate sustained focus all day, capitalise on balanced expertise across each team and enact excellent collaborative skills, as they grappled creatively with a range of challenging problems across a number of fields of endeavour. We look forward to hearing about their experiences!
