Dear Parents,
This week, the Junior School has been filled with the beautiful sounds of our students singing and creating music as the entire school has been busy finalising our Showcase performances. Please see the detailed information in the K-Y6 Music News, so you know in which concert your son is involved and details about those events.
Our Year 6 students are currently enjoying the cooler climate of Canberra as they investigate the way Australia is governed at a federal level. As part of their excursion, they will visit Parliament House, Questacon, Australian Institute of Sport and other significant cultural locations. Reports to date indicate they are enjoying the experiences on offer and surviving the chilly weather. We look forward to welcoming them back tomorrow afternoon.

Families in Y3-Y6, please remember that there are no scheduled sports fixtures this weekend (10 June). We hope everyone enjoys a relaxing long weekend. The last fixture for the term is the following weekend (Saturday, 17 June). Training continues until the end of the term. There are three Saturday fixtures in Term 3 to complete the winter season.
Staff News
We wanted to let our families know that one of our Art teachers, Mr Christian Bonett, will be taking leave during Term 3. We wish him the very best as he completes his Master’s dissertation. During his absence, we welcome Miss Rebecca Armstrong to teach Art in the Junior School with Mrs Ann Arora, our other Art teacher. Rebecca trained as a Visual Art teacher in Ireland and has several years’ experience teaching Art across many age groups. Rebecca and Annabel Boyd will also be offering some optional co-curricular Art activities during Term 3 while Christian is on leave.
Kind wishes,
Michele Marquet
