Welcome to our new look Junior School Link. As shared with you over the past couple of weeks, we have refreshed the design taking onboard feedback we have received, and we hope this new design will greatly enhance your enjoyment of our weekly newsletter. What a busy end to our term it has been! Apart from wrapping up their third unit for the year, recent music events, as well as our Athletics Carnival this week, have kept our staff and students very busy and happily engaged!

What a superlative afternoon and evening we enjoyed last Thursday at our annual Junior School Music Showcases. The boys’ performances in both voice and instrumental items were wonderful. Their dedication in practice resulted in excellence and we are very proud of them all. Enormous thanks must go to our truly outstanding Music staff, including Mrs Jane Holmes à Court and Mr Peter Fox, ably assisted by Mr Jem Harding, Mr Martyn Hentschel and Mr Christopher Hayles, as well as the full music instrumentalist staff. Another superb evening was held on Tuesday night at Spark!, the Senior Showcase, at the fabulous Sydney Town Hall. The Junior School boys’ performances, vocally and instrumentally, individually and in combined items, were breathtakingly beautiful. Our Senior School boys were also extraordinary – every item memorable and showcasing the marvellous musical talent of a huge number of Cranbrookians. Once again, our heartfelt thanks must go to our truly outstanding Music staff who inspire and allow these talents to flourish and be shared. A gallery from the evening can be viewed below.

The staff and I wish all our Junior School and Pre-School families a safe and relaxing holiday break. We look forward to seeing everyone at the start of Term 3.
