Haircuts
Now that the school term is well underway, we would appreciate Junior School parents ensuring their sons have had their hair cut by Monday 20 March, in line with the guidelines outlined in the Junior School Handbook (p24):

Hairstyles
Haircuts are expected to be neat, above the collar and conservative. Hair is to be its natural colour. It is not to be shaved high up the sides and gel is not to be used to cause hair to stand on its end.

Introducing new staff member: Miss Amelia Laumberg 6B

Miss Amelia Laumberg is an experienced, enthusiastic, and organised primary school teacher who has worked in schools in the UK and, most recently, at Wenona in Sydney.

She holds a Bachelor of Education, graduating with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney. In 2018, following the completion of this degree, Amelia spent some time at Cranbrook, working as an EA on Year 1.  Apart from a deep understanding of literacy acquisition and the teaching of reading, she is passionate about Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) education and holds a specialisation in this area.

Amelia has a deep faith in the extraordinary capacity of each child to drive their own learning and to enrich the world in which they live.

She is committed to building positive, respectful relationships with students, in order to empower them to reach their learning goals.

Amelia has a love for sport, coaching a variety of sports over the past 9 years and contributing to the school community. Outside of school, Amelia thoroughly enjoys playing Touch Football at an elite level, representing her local club at the NSW State Cup competition and her regional club at the National Touch League competition for the past 5 years.
