Armidale Rugby Tour
Over the weekend of 12th – 14th April, the Year 6 Rugby Team competed in the TAS Rugby Tournament hosted by The Armidale School. They played games against Gunnedah, Noosa, Sunshine Coast Grammar, The King’s School, and Peregian Saints Rugby Club. Our Cranbrook students displayed excellent teamwork securing victories in all four games on Saturday and capping off the tournament with a final win on Sunday to take out their division. Despite some bumps and bruises along the way, the team maintained an exemplary attitude in all games, demonstrating teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
Beyond the victories on the rugby field, our students experience at the TAS Tournament exemplified the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship that lies at the heart of the game. Immersed in the wider rugby community and engaging in spirited competition with teams from different states, the boys bonded with teammates and conducted themselves with integrity and respect, reflecting the values of our School.
Thanks goes to James Roughan, Josh Cohen and coach, Jason Gribbon, for leading the trip and supporting the boys on tour.
