Little League Summer Sport Reports Round 1

Round 1 of the Junior School sports season kicked off with a wet start, as inclement weather led to cancellations across most of the outdoor sports fixtures. However, amidst the challenging conditions, our Year 6 cricket team managed to persevere and get their game underway, despite early weather conditions appearing ominous.

Facing off against Tudor House, the Year 6 cricket team displayed exceptional determination and skill, clinching a close and hard-fought victory. Their determination throughout the match was commendable, setting a promising tone for the remainder of the season.

Meanwhile, our Year 3/4 basketball teams showcased outstanding performances, with several highlights including four impressive wins over Kings. The teams demonstrated excellent teamwork, skill, and sportsmanship on the court, with particular recognition for the 3/4 C’s team, whose exceptional performance stood out.

Although the weather presented challenges for outdoor sports, the commitment and dedication of our athletes shone through, demonstrating the resilience and competitive spirit that characterizes Cranbrook’s sports program.

As we look forward to the remainder of the season, we are confident that our students will continue to excel both on and off the field, demonstrating the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance.
