Little League Sports Report – Round 10
I am thrilled to extend my congratulations to our dedicated students for their commitment and growth throughout the winter sports season. Your hard work, determination, and sportsmanship have truly shone on and off the field.
I would also like to extend my gratitude and kudos to our exceptional coaches and managers whose dedication has been instrumental in guiding our students to achieve their best. Their passion and guidance have been crucial to the success of our teams.
As we transition into the upcoming season, I encourage all boys to embrace the excitement of house sports on Fridays. It’s a time to come together, enjoy friendly competition, and foster a sense of camaraderie within our school community before we gear up for the summer sports training ahead.
Once again, congratulations to all our athletes for a fantastic winter season. Let’s continue to support one another and strive for excellence as we embark on the next chapter of our sporting journey.

Football Round 10
Year 6A Football
Cranbrook 6As football played to a 1-1 draw against Mosman Prep, with Emile G scoring the equalizer. Oliver G showcased a great defensive display, ensuring a well-contested match.
Year 6B Football
In a closely fought match, Cranbrook 6Bs football put up a strong performance but lost 2-1 to Mosman Prep. Patrick G scored an excellent goal and had an outstanding overall performance, while Harry R’s work ethic was commendable.
Year 6C Football
Cranbrook 6Cs football faced a tough challenge, losing 2-1 to Sydney Grammar. Jack D scored for the team, and outstanding performances from Nico P and Julian G with key tackles, interceptions, and long balls kept Cranbrook in the game. Alexander M’s beautiful late volley almost levelled the score, and special thanks were given to Jansen J for stepping in and showing true Cranbrook spirit in goal.
Year 5A Football
Despite a challenging match, Cranbrook 5As football displayed tenacity and determination in their 8-1 loss to Knox. Mathew Z scored the lone goal for Cranbrook, while Rylan H’s tenacity and willingness to play as goalkeeper were notable, along with Ziggy D and Felix S’s impressive performances at fullback and Rhidian S’s mental shift in the second half.
Year 5B Football
In a closely contested match, Cranbrook 5Bs football fought hard but fell short with a 5-3 loss to Knox. Austin M (2) and Shai L found the back of the net, with Leo C’s chance creation and determination standing out.
Year 5C Football
Cranbrook 5Cs football faced a strong opponent and fell short with a 3-0 loss to Knox. Blake H displayed outstanding effort and a great defensive performance, with the team showing determination throughout the match.
Year 4A Football
Cranbrook 4As football dominated with a 5-0 victory against Scots. Hugo L’s hat-trick, along with goals from Minato Y and Santiago D, showcased the team’s attacking prowess. Alexander R’s brilliant build-up play was crucial in creating many of the team’s best chances.
Year 4B Football
Cranbrook 4Bs football celebrated a convincing 6-1 win against Scots, with Ziggy S leading the team with a hat-trick and exceptional communication on the field. George Y and Will P also contributed with goals, securing a commanding victory.

In a dominant performance, Cranbrook 4Ds football secured a 3-0 win against Scots. Tom W’s great goal and exceptional passing throughout the game were noteworthy contributions to the team’s success.
Year 3A Football
In a dominant display, Cranbrook 3As football secured a convincing 5-0 victory against Barker. Teddy B’s impressive hat-trick and Charlie B’s goal highlighted the team’s attacking prowess. Louis B played a pivotal role, creating numerous opportunities with superb crosses into dangerous areas, while the whole team’s performance, despite being a player down, showcased their ability to move the ball effectively, making the extra man unnoticeable.
Year 3B Football
Cranbrook 3Bs football celebrated a well-deserved 3-0 win against Barker, with goals from Alfie L, Aiden G, and Woody V-H-W. The team’s collective effort and development throughout the season were evident, culminating in 10 wins and remarkable progression as a cohesive unit.
Year 3C Football
In a dominant 8-0 victory against Coogee Prep, Cranbrook 3Cs football demonstrated their attacking prowess, with Archie S among the goal scorers. Evan H and Harry N’s superb control and passing added depth to the team’s performance.
Year 3D Football
Cranbrook 3Ds football put on an impressive display, winning 8-0 against Barker. Otto H’s outstanding all-around performance stood out, as he contributed with four goals and showcased his brilliance all over the pitch. The team’s collective effort and teamwork were instrumental in securing the decisive victory.
Year 3E Football
In an impressive performance, Cranbrook 3Es football secured a resounding 5-0 win against Barker. James A’s clinical finishing earned him two goals, while Eason H, Emilio I, and Rafael K also found the back of the net. Luke K stood out for his defensive efforts and teamwork, complementing James A’s scoring prowess.

Rugby Round 10
Year 6A Rugby
Cranbrook 6As rugby showcased their skills with a 27-7 win against Sydney Grammar, as Carter M, Heath C-G, Jamie R, Jake C, and Steven H scored tries. Strong ball carriers and tacklers, including Loic B, Arthur D’s excellent passing, and Rocco U’s turnovers at the ruck and ball carrying were key to the team’s success.
Year 6B Rugby
Cranbrook 6Bs rugby displayed determination, winning 50-10 against Trinity and drawing 25-25 with St Pius. Lachy R-W’s five tries in the first game and Sol G’s clutch offload to Max C for the equalizing try were standout moments in the team’s performances.
Year 5A Rugby
Cranbrook 5As rugby faced a tough challenge, losing 50-0 to Scots due to strong Scots defence. Despite the result, Ollie H, Joseph L, and Hughie W displayed resilience in their defensive efforts.
Year 5B Rugby
Cranbrook 5Bs rugby celebrated a 35-10 victory against Kings, with Louie B, Jack E, Jack R, and Tomek O contributing tries. Jack E’s relentless tackling and Jack R’s outstanding performance were noteworthy aspects of the victory.
Year 4A Rugby
In an impressive performance, Cranbrook 4As rugby secured a convincing 47-19 victory against Tudor House. Frank T’s hat-trick on the wing and strong contributions from Hadley S, Will A, and Julian D showcased the team’s capabilities.
Year 4B Rugby
Cranbrook 4Bs rugby showed their competitiveness, tying 30-30 with Shore and winning 25-15 against Newington. Ollie M (3), Gus T, Lachie B (2), Zac B (2), and Frederick H’s try-scoring efforts stood out, with Joshua M’s great tackling also being recognized.
Year 3 Red Rugby
Cranbrook 3Red rugby achieved a notable victory with a 40-0 win against Newington and put up a valiant effort despite a 20-10 loss to Scots. Ben H (2), Eric LF, Luca M, Wils O, Jack P, Seb S, and Wolf T were among the try-scorers, with Luca M’s standout defensive work and line speed making a significant impact. The whole team celebrated success as everyone scored a try and enjoyed their last game of the season.
Year 3 White Rugby
Cranbrook 3White rugby displayed resilience, winning 20-15 against Mosman Prep and giving their all despite a 30-10 loss to Knox. Sam Y, Theo C, William S, Lachie E, and Michael L were try-scorers, with Lachie E’s speed down the wing and Theo C’s powerful runs in the middle being highlights.
Tennis Round 10
The winter season ended with a wonderful last training session. The coaches were very pleased to note the progress all the boys have made during the season. There was a quick warm up this week so that the boys could get straight into their end of season tournaments. Great fun was had by all and there was a friendly sense of competition in the air. Each group played with enthusiasm, and it was impressive to see the captains keep score of the games in their groups. The boys continued to show good sportsmanship by supporting each other through their matches. Impressive points and volleys were celebrated and helpful advice from the coaches was acknowledged by all players. Well done boys. We are all looking forward to the summer season beginning soon!




Multi-Sports Round 10
The Multi-sports squad finished their season in fine touch. Henry M. scored 2 excellent goals from long range. Harry D and Kingston T were energetic for their teams. Alexander F was dynamic in midfield with several deft touches of the ball. Amiel B was everywhere in defence, shutting down several attacking raids by the opposition! James B was busy as always up front and scored a great goal for his side. A wonderful finish to a successful and enjoyable Winter campaign. Well done lads on your enthusiasm and desire to improve your skills. Thanks to parents for your attendance and support on Saturday mornings.
