SCIENCE WEEK (Monday 14 Aug – Friday 18 Aug)

National Science Week is an exciting and fun-filled week that fosters a love for science among our Cranbrook Junior School students!

One of the highlights of the week this year is the collaboration between Year 10 students from the Senior School and Years 3 and 4 students. Together, they will engage in a number of scientific experiments and activities, with Year 3 students even being lucky enough to be travelling to the Senior School to visit their labs.

Across the week, students in all years will engage in a stage specific interactive Kahoot quiz for a scientific prize, sparking friendly competition and reinforcing scientific concepts.

Class teachers will be offering students time to use and explore experiment packs of materials and instructions, facilitating in-class science exploration outside of their units of inquiry.

During lunch breaks, students can participate in engaging and hands-on experiments in the Practical Inquiry Room, further igniting their curiosity.

Additionally, experiment ideas will be sent home during the week on flyers, encouraging students and their families to explore science together outside the classroom.

The week encourages a collaborative and dynamic learning environment, making Australian National Science Week a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.
