Dear Parents,

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea Events for Parents and Students: REMINDER
Tomorrow, we are inviting all the JS students to wear to school a non-school tie, as well as bring a picnic rug and, weather permitting, we will hold a K-6 Picnic Rug recess on Dangar. We invite the students to bring in a gold coin on this day to contribute to the Junior School’s donation for the Cancer Council. All other aspects of their school uniform should be what they normally wear to School each Friday.

Please do not forget about the ‘Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea’ Parent Event being held tomorrow, Friday, 26 May from 8am at the Empire Lounge (Lyne Park). Please join other parents for a coffee and morning tea and participate in the auction to raise money for the Cancer Council. Additional information from the organisers can be found in News and Reminders.

K-Y2 Athletics Carnival – Thursday, 1 June
Next week, on Thursday, 1 June, weather permitting, our K-2 boys will have the opportunity to participate in their annual K-2 Athletics Carnival. It runs from 12 noon to approximately 2pm. The boys will engage in a wide array of athletic activities and they are always thrilled to have their parents come along and watch. An email has been sent out to our families with more information about the afternoon.

Please also note that on this day, all K-2 boys should wear their House T-shirt, summer uniform school shorts, runners and School legionnaire hat, both to and from School.

Our Y3-Y6 boys are looking forward to their own carnival to be held during the last week of this term.

Progress Reports
Over the next few days, families will receive an envelope via their son’s school bag containing some progress reports for their various specialist subjects. We hope these provide some useful feedback on how your sons are learning in each area.

Staff News
Last week, we received lovely news that Mrs Rosie Heckes’ baby, River James Heckes, had been born. River is a little brother for his older sister, Banksia. Rosie was teaching on the Year 1 team in 2023 and the Year 3 team last year. I am sure our families join me in congratulating Rosie and her husband, Eddie, on the new addition to their family.

Kind wishes,

Michele Marquet
