Dear Parents,
Y4 CAMP
This week, it was the turn of our Y4 boys to experience their annual camp at the beautiful Shoalhaven location of Waterslea. They had an excellent time! Next term, boys in Years 3 and 5 will have the opportunity to go to camp in the Blue Mountains and at Port Hacking, respectively. Once again, we thank the accompanying staff who worked so hard to ensure the boys had a safe and wonderful experience.
Tomorrow, some of our Y6 students will attend World Prayer Day at St Michael’s Anglican Church with our JS Chaplain, Mr Matt Noble.
Assemblies in 2023
This year, the whole Year Level (all three classes) will be presenting a single item at their allocated Assembly, rather than just one or two classes presenting. This will enable our French and other Specialist Teachers the opportunity to be able present items as well. Year Level presentations will still be connected to the learning occurring during their current unit but will involve more group-based elements rather than individual performances. We look forward to welcoming parents to these Assemblies. The first Year Level Assemblies are Year 6 on 15 March at 1:45pm, followed by Year 2 on 22 March.
Cranbrook Junior School Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea 2023 (NSW Cancer Council)
Below is a message from our wonderful parent organisers of this annual event:
Thank you to all the new volunteers that came to our first catch up last Thursday. It’s not too late if you would still like to volunteer! Just get in touch with us.
The silent auction is how we raise the funds for this amazing cause. If you have a business and would like to donate a product or service to be included in the silent auction, please contact us with details.
Or, you may have a friend you know who would like to donate something. It is a great way to advertise within our school community. Other ideas are: approaching your favourite beauty salon, clothing or homewares store, wine cellar or favourite butcher for a gift voucher. You get the idea!
Please contact Amanda Smits 0415 646935 or Daphne Hedley 0400 849340.
We look forward to another week of learning and fun!
Kind wishes,
Michele Marquet
