Write a Book in a Day – Year 6
Our Year 6 students are participating in this year’s ‘Write a Book in a Day’ competition with the students at St Catherine’s School on Tuesday, 9 August.
‘Write a Book in a Day’ is a charitable, creative writing competition, which shares completed books with terminally ill children in hospitals. Part of the day involves a fundraising effort run by the Kids’ Cancer Project, which raises funds for childhood cancer research through sponsorship. Mixed teams of up to eight have just twelve hours to write and illustrate a book from start to finish. To make it even more fun, unique parameters will be included in the story. Digital editions of the completed stories are made available on the Online Library and shared with hospitals across Australia.
