Photography and Digital Media
Experimental Photomedia – Year 10PDM
This term, Year 10 Photography and Digital Media students have been exploring innovative ways of representing perspective, space and memory through a series of experimental photographic works. Their practical task included three components, each inspired by a contemporary artist.
Students created photo joiners inspired by David Hockney, assembling multiple images into dynamic portraits of place and time. Drawing from Isidro Blasco, they constructed three-dimensional photo sculptures that merge photography with architecture. Finally, inspired by Samin Ahmadzadeh, they produced handwoven photographic pieces, interlacing printed images to explore themes of identity and connection.
The resulting works showcase the students’ growing confidence with both digital and tactile processes.
