Winterfest 2025 – A Night to Remember!

Winterfest 2025 was a huge success, showcasing the incredible talent and dedication of our CGHS Music students. From class performances to ensemble pieces, the evening was filled with energy, creativity, and a wonderful sense of community.

A big shout-out to our amazing P&C, who once again catered for the event. Thanks to their efforts, all funds raised on the night will go directly to supporting CG#Sounds, our original music recording project.

Invitation to Enter – National Songwriting Competition 2025!

We are excited to invite all students – particularly those in Years 7–11 – to participate in the Australian Children’s Music Foundation (ACMF) National Songwriting Competition 2025!

This is a fantastic, free opportunity to showcase your creativity and songwriting skills. Whether you are currently writing a song in Music or have already completed one, this is the perfect chance to share your work with a wider audience.

We would also love to see any students who participated in CG#Sounds last year submit their original song.

Prizes:

🎤School Category Prizes, including a $10,000 APRA AMCOS SongMakers workshop for the winning High School!

🎤Individual Student Prizes across various year groups and overall winners

The competition is all about songwriting, not recording quality, so don’t be afraid to enter – your lyrics and music are what truly matter.

📝 Deadline: Sunday 15th September
