First Nations Leadership Group

First Nations Leadership Group

Every three weeks, 10 of our First Nations Leadership Group students visit Canterbury Boys High School and their First Nations students. Together we work with The Settlement and participate in a range of different activities. These activities help the students gain skills such as team-work and communication, in a culturally safe way. This week we were cooking and made hamburgers from scratch. The students were placed into groups and each group had different jobs they had to do. All the students enjoyed their hamburgers, and the process of having to make the burgers.

Every fortnight one of our First Nations Leadership students receives an attendance award. Our first award has been awarded to Year 7 student Bella Kelleher. Bella has worked to improve her attendance over the last three terms, and is the recipient of our first award. Great work Bella! 🤩🎉
