A Midsummer Night’s Dream Performance 2025 – 8P

8P embarked upon a most ambitious task to be assessed for English. Year 8 study the Shakespearean play A Midsummer Night’s Dream as part of the “The Play’s the Thing” unit studied in Term 2. 

Due to the myriad of performing talent in 8P, it was decided that they should put on a production of the play for students in Year 7. Students collaborated on designing, acting and choreographing the production, working in conjunction with the class teacher. 

Most of the work done on the production was done by the students themselves. It was a difficult task remembering lines, composing and coming up with music and creating choreography to enhance the performance. Students worked hard during rehearsals and pulled off, despite constant interruptions and challenges, the most amazing production. Well done 8P!!!
