Year 8 Science Excursion to Taronga Zoo
On Friday 20th June, Year 8 students visited Taronga Zoo as part of their science unit on animal adaptations for their upcoming assessment task. They took part in engaging lessons led by zoo educators at the Taronga Institute of Science and Learning, where they explored how different species have adapted to survive in their environments.
Afterward, students split into their science classes for keeper experiences, including the Lion Keeper Talk, Reptile Keeper Talk, Gorilla Keeper Talk, and the always-exciting Free Flight Bird Show. It was a fun and educational day filled with fascinating facts and memorable animal encounters!
