7A & 8A Food Technology Extension Activity with CBHS

Food Technology principles and the latest snack trends were an emphasis during our joint immersion day with Canterbury Boys High school.

Students produced a protein snack (Raspberry Protein Balls) to satisfy the growing consumer demand for health conscious options, convenience, and muscle support. Once the product was produced, students created the packaging, taking into consideration mandatory requirements for food labelling to ensure consumer safety and informed purchasing was key. Clever packaging and marketing strategies were also crucial for their product’s success to attract consumer attention.
